My comments on tutoring Study Skills : I have found students need some time management skills, graphic organizers and knowledge of learning preferences to increase his/her comprehension of any subject.

I love teaching. I earned my BA before I was old enough to vote. While my classmates were in his/her senior year, I was teaching. Eventually I earned my M.Ed. in Reading, then started School Administration and Adult Education. In all these fields I find similar necessary skills: patience, co-operation among staff and colleagues, knowledge of subject matter, communication with the community and parents and a well defined curriculum. Moreover, I am a published author and a former writer with St. Louis Globe Democrat - Suburban Journals. As a favor to my students, I often evaluate papers for submission. I held this position for two years along with a summer position tutoring Algebra and French with HEC Upward Bound, which service at-risk youth.
