I have been tutoring students of all ages for over 20 years. Subjects I have tutored include French, Spanish, Latin, English, and math. Earlier on in my college education, my plan was to apply to Law School at MU, the university I was attending at that time. To apply, one was to have a Bachelor's degree in the area of their choice. I began my educational journey in the Spanish language when I started going on short-term trips with my church.Shortly after, I decided to study the language in a intense submersion course for two-semesters in Colima, Mexico. By being constantly surrounded by the language, I was able to learn and comprehend Spanish in a short amount of time. I returned to my University in Springfield, Missouri and received my BS in Spanish with a minor in sociology. I then decided that I wanted to teach this beautiful and useful language. I believe the best learning occurs when both a discrete point and holistic approach are used interactively. I like to break down the concepts into small steps which then fit together into a well-designed staircase leading up to the higher levels.
