I stumbled upon the joy of teaching as I helped others learn to dive recreationally in my early 20’s. When I began my real estate career, I worked primarily with first time home buyers, whom I educated constantly. With the housing market collapse my desire to instruct in this manner grew as I segued into the insurance industry, and was given an opportunity to open a branch office and personally train over 50 agents in a one on one capacity over the course of two years. I still currently educate a class of insurance agents every few weeks on the complexity of products available to individuals in the market, and how to sell them, while sharing a few life lessons along the way. A Little Bit About Me...

I was Lead Tutor at Armstrong Atlantic State University (2001-2003) in the Writing Center. I had previously tutored at Greenfield Community College in the Learning Center (1996-1998). My passion is to teach children with special needs (Autism). My BA degree was in Psychology (2008). I have tutored in in English, Psychology, and Biology. I am currently working on my Master's degree in Special Education. I have tutored with private facilities as well, such as Royce Learning Center and Legends Learning Center in Savannah, Ga. I have been a camp counselor, tutor, coach and teacher. I have taught English in Ghana, preschool in Argentina and special education in the Bronx. I have taught and worked with children of all levels, ages and backgrounds. I am very strong in writing and communication, but have also taught math up to fifth grade. I have taught science and social studies up to fifth grade as well.
I believe all children can learn, but that all children learn differently. Having taught special education, I had a range of grade levels in my class. Very often the students would be spread out over three grade levels. Because of this, I am extremely good at tailoring my instruction to different levels and learning types.
