Let's make learning fun!!!

I like to do a lot of positive reinforcing and reaffirming.
I have worked with children for over 15 years. During this time I have provide homework help and tutoring in Math, Reading and Spanish. The children that I have worked with range in age from 5 to 17 years old. I have also done an extensive amount of work with infants and toddlers in the field of early learning as a nanny. Learning is a lifelong process!

My very first year of teaching was at the Lehigh Valley Performing Arts High School, and I also taught for two years at Northern Lehigh High School. Everybody learns differently at a seperate pace.

First, I examine what is needed to be helped with. Next, I sit down and ask the student what he or she seems to be struggling with and why. From there I build a lesson plan with the student and give them the tools they need to succeed. I have worked with children with ADHD and aspergers.
I am an undergrad at HACC majoring in Biology. I excel in English, math, basic human biology, environmental science, & study skills. I hope to become a high school teacher someday. I wish to become a tutor currently to build experience working one on one with student. Everybody learns differently and I hope to bridge any gaps in whatever subject.
