I am a life-long learner, both academically and professionally with a diverse professional experience. I have an MS degree in Public Health and a BA in Biology. I have professional experience as a cell biology lab technician, sales representative, medical science liaison, product manager, and as an adjunct faculty member at a local community college where I taught biology, microbiology, botany, and human anatomy laboratory courses. I come from a family of teachers. My first teaching job was as a ski instructor when I was 15 years old.
I learned very early in my teaching career that the most important element to learning was infecting my pupils with joy of learning and the power of that knowledge - which is my primary teaching style.
