I have worked with preschoolers and children K-8. Furthermore, I have tutored in Reading Comprehension, Math, Writing Skills, and Spanish. I have worked as an Office Manager, where I used Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Data Entry programs. Tutoring children in Reading Comprehension gave me great satisfaction because most of them made great improvements, and were able to raise their grades in this subject. After having both tutored and taught in the classroom, I find tutoring to be more enjoyable. Since each student learns in a different way it is much easier to teach them one-on-one than a whole classroom full. I’ve always enjoyed watching their faces light up when they figure out a problem for the first time. I believe that tutoring is a very powerful tool because a lot of students need that extra push to succeed that they can’t get being in a classroom.
