I like to teach by example and give the student the opportunity to learn by doing. I am a recent college graduate from Bowling Green State University. I have a BA in Philosophy and a minor in English. I have lots of experience in writing all different kinds of papers and essays. Some of my other skills include playing the clarinet, speaking french, and being well read in general.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is not typical since I am not a certified teacher. I am creative in my teaching style using a variety of techniques. I understand that each child and person learns differently (Auditory, Visual, Tactile) so I try to discover their style and incorporate as much as possible. I try to teach using real life experiences and examples. I break things down into simple parts before moving on to the next level. If learning is looked at as boring or hard students will try to avoid it, when learning is fun students learn without realising the work involved. I have brought 2 learning disabled teens into my home to help them graduate High School. Both have gone on to be Certified Welders. I have presided over the Parental Acceptance Committee for both Fremont and all five of WSOS HeadStart Counties and all the centers in the School Districts of those counties.
