A Little Bit About Me...

I started tutoring classmates in seventh grade and tutored friends in college in Trigonometry. I have earned two BS degrees in Landscape Architecture and Computer Science with a minor in Math. this diverse education allows me to tutor in Math and Science as well as design and art. I have tutored part-time since 2004, mostly in high school Math, but have also assisted in Chemistry, CBEST, SAT, and GRE prep. I have also developed coursework and taught at UCSC in the classroom setting, and trained employees.
My first visit is just an assessment of where the student began to get lost regardless of the age or level. More often that not, they have to memorize their fractions to decimal to percentage conversion from 1/2 to 1/12. Given this underlying knowledge allows me to focus on the subject at hand. As a biochemistry student at University of the Pacific, I was required to know the science so well that even if a random person on the street asks me a question, I would be able to explain it to him/her in a way that they could understand. I worked with a lot of excellent professors in lab and tutored a lot of students in grammar, math, sciences, psychology (one of my favor subjects), Spanish and Economics.
