There are many arrays of learning styles. I personally use visually, writing, and seeing the bigger picture. Working at the Nashville Transition Center, essentially a half-way house for children aged 12-18 with criminal and/or troubled backgrounds, my senior year of college changed my outlook on tutoring tremendously because it opened my eyes to the challenges many face.
