A Little Bit About Me...

As a recent graduate from the College of William & Mary, I have earned a bachelor’s degree (BS) in Neuroscience and a minor in Biochemistry. As a tutor for four years, I have tutored both college athletes and students in subjects including Calculus I and II, Biology, Organic Chemistry and General Chemistry. Additionally, I am experienced in tutoring high school students in subjects including chemistry, algebra I and II, precalculus, and calculus. As a student mentor for six years for Big Brothers Big Sisters, I have tutored elementary school-age children in subjects including language arts, math and science. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a special education teacher and have worked with a wide range of students with various abilities as well as disabilities: mental retardation, learning disabilities, emotional disorders, and autism. I remediate students with and without disabilities who have done poorly on SOL tests as well as struggling readers. I have taught all subjects at the middle school level and am highly qualified to teach English and math as based on No Child Left Behind (NCLB). I have tutored for 2 years in the afternoons in all subjects, but main concentration being in middle school English and math.
I believe that all children can learn but they don't all learn the same way.
