I have worked in the automotive industry from 1995-2007. In 2007, I took a buyout from Ford in order to stay home full time with my two children. I went back to Ford Motor Co. in 2013, working part-time. My Bachelor's Degree is from University of Michigan in Electrical Engineering. My main focus is tutoring math. A Little Bit About Me...

I use a variety of teaching styles while instructing students. Alternating between styles helps to keep minds engaged and participation at a maximum. When covering content I use many examples that relate to real life, that way students can relate it to something they have experienced or seen. I also like performing small-scale experiments and labs. I will use power point presentations as well as the overhead for drawings, notes, and discussion. There are many websites that I make use of, the websites that I use are usually hands on and require students to think and solve problems on their own.

My style has always been to encourage questions from the student or with the many people who have worked for me over the years to challenge the status quo. I encourage individuals to stretch the envelope and to seek different solutions rather than accept what has been done before. I have also stressed that there is never a bad question or wrong to think outside the box. For example I have always asked students, "Why study history?" What I relish now,is that many respond, "To learn how we got here." The one thing that I observed about the learning process, is that a person quickly grasps a concept if he/she is interested, or the topic is thoughtful and challenges the wit of a person and lastly, a person is very comfortable in learning through his/her friends. Nobody is stupid not to grasp a concept. It is the methodology, technique and feeling of comfort and interest, that is required. Hence I try to be affable and was more involved. A picturization or a real life example is more likely to fit in a person's mind. I used this technique and was very successful. With this regard, about 70% of my class scored 90% and above in their respective examinations.

I love teaching and it is my favorite thing to do. I been told by every student I help or tutored that I am one of the best teacher they ever had. My style is to challenge and bring the best of every student. I make my lesson an open discussion between me and the students and I found that to be the best and fastest way from them to learn. I also make them relate math to the real world and I was always able to come with very creative examples.
My teaching experience came from tutoring at Alkebulan Village for the last two years.
