My comments on tutoring Homework Help : I have taught elementary, middle, and high school. I am currently teaching psychology at a community college. My experience in education has given me a broad perspective and appreciation for all students at all levels of learning. I am very organized, a people person, and highly motivated. I have a Master's Degree in Counseling, which has helped me to understand the needs of my students so that I can better assist them in the learning process.

I have my BA in social science and a Master's in counseling. I have been in the field of education for twenty years. I enjoy helping junior high and high school students excel in all their subjects. Particularly, I feel it's important to relate their current studies to real life situations to help them understand the link between the theoretical material and practical solutions. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style would be to find the student's primary learning style and converting the information he or she needs into a format that fits that learning style. Each subject would be made as visible or concrete as possible, so that the student could interact with the material on more than just a visual/conceptual level. Showing the student how the material can relate to real-life situations and opportunities would be a vital part of the instruction.
After high school, I recognized in myself a desire to work with elementary- and high school-aged children. A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught 6-12th grade English for three years. While teaching in Detroit I was the lead teacher heading the tutoring program for MEAP preparation. I have also prepared North Carolina students for ACT and SATs.
I have been told that my classroom does not need a teacher's desk. This is probably due to my high energy, fact paced teaching style. I love using music and technology to get the students interested. I also like to relate English to their lives and show them how they need it.
