I taught for one year at Graceland University, Des Moines, IA I don't have a style. When I left high school in rural Iowa I was told I was retarded and would never even be able to write a check. At age 38 when struggling through Iowa State my chem teacher sent me to be tested for learning disabilities and I had multiple learning disabilities but an above average IQ. I am a very passionate person who adores children and thinks that teaching is the most rewarding job in the world. I am dedicated, punctual, compassionate, patient, honest and fun. I would bring a positive aura that seems to follow me wherever I go. For example; I will use hands on experience and discovery, visual aids, and collaborative learning to name a few. By using a variety of teaching styles, the chances of reaching out to each student and creating knowledge in which they understand increases. I will do my best to make the students feel like my classroom is a safe, fun, and stimulating place to come to everyday. I also work very well with others, and enjoy learning new things myself. I take pride in my hard work and believe tha

One of the best compliments that a teacher/tutor can receive is to hear from a parent that their child loves to learn when he used to resent school. Obtaining my Bachelor of Science degree and Middle School endorsement from Faith Baptist Bible College has given me the ability to help others have a passion for learning. I have the most experience and expertise in reading, but also have experience in cognitive training as well as tutoring in composition, grammar, rea
