A Little Bit About Me...

I was a teaching assistant at North Georgia College and State University for three years. I assisted with laboratory sections of biology courses and taught them in the event of a professors absence. I provided department funded tutoring services during that time as well. I have taken the GRE and Biology Section of the GRE and received excellent scores on both tests in only one sitting. I have also coached 4H horse quiz bowl and horse judging teams for several years working with elementary and middle school age children.

I am a dedicated teacher who will do what it takes to help my students succeed. I have a bachelor's degree in special education because I have always had a heart for those struggling in school. I want them to achieve their goals and gain the knowledge they need to be successful in the classroom and in life. As a history major at Western I had to read many books and an accelerated rate. Also being an English minor I gained analytical and grammatical skills to help better understand pieces of literature I had to read and I can pass those skills to other students.

While I attended Lee University, I was a teaching assistant for a year for a remedial college English class. I taught my own one-hour grammar labs twice a week, and I worked with students individually as well. I edited their papers and helped them with their grammar. My senior year I volunteered with a hispanic ESL class. I helped tutor the mothers in English. I am currently an online teaching assistant.
