A Little Bit About Me...

With a BBA in Finance from the University of New Mexico I have a high appreciation for education and I enjoy contributing to those who want to achieve degrees. I tutored financial management to my peers for three semesters when I was a University student myself. I have been tutoring math at San Juan College for two semesters and plan on teaching as an adjunct faculty member this fall. Having earned a Ph.D. in Biostatistics from one of the top statistics schools in the country, I not only know the mathematics behind statistical theory - I have applied statistics in a wide variety of research settings. An ongoing aspect of working as a statistician is using clear communication to explain techniques and results in layman's terms. I believe statistical knowledge is useful to everyone in everyday life and should be fun for the student to learn. I have tutored students on and off since I was an undergraduate. While in New York, I worked for two years as a teacher of Science at a Junior High school in the Bronx. There I was awarded "Rookie-Teacher-of-the-Year." For one year, I also tutored after school to earn extra money. I have also taught in California and Santa Fe, NM. My passion is to be an International speaker on the topics of Metaphysics and Spirituality.
I believe it is best to offer guidance, and allow the student to go through the process of discovery. Things learned independently are much more prized and valuable.
