My comments on tutoring Physics : Took Newtonian physics and electro-magnetic physics (calc based, however algebraic expressions can be derived from calculus therefore well experienced in the algebraic physics as well.)

I like students to understand how the material they are learning can and is being applied to everyday situations. So I often will talk about the big topics that have been covered explain why they are useful and then show the student how to perform various calculations or apply the nessecary logic to solve problems.
I am a Mechanical Engineering and Geology dual major with a 3.6 GPA. I understand mathematics very well and have tutored fellow students in math and physics, successfully for years. My approach is to establish a relationship with small talk and introductions. A parent must be present at all times. Attending and graduating from Davidson College, a small liberal arts college in NC, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry was an extremely rewarding experience. As of right now I do not have my teaching certicifate, however, I do plan on going back to school to get my certificate. When I was tutoring I had to multi-task between students. At first, the task was difficult but I eventually got used to it.
While I was an undergraduate at Marshall University, I was asked by my thesis professor to help out in the tutoring center provided by the college of math. While I was there I helped students with their math courses ranging from college algebra to upper levels of calculus and differential equations.
