Math Teacher looking for a Summer Tutoring Job

In 2001, I received my certification in Elementary Education from CCSU. I then substitute taught for the town of West Hartford for 2 years while I got married and had my son. He had a lot of health problems so the decision was made for me to stay home with him. When it came to Kindergarten he still had many health issues so we thought it was best to keep him home and I began to Homeschool him. My comments on tutoring Elementary Math : I have excelled in math since a very early age. I also love to and am very good at working with children. I am patient, and understand how to explain concepts so they can better relate to the math even though it may seem arbitrary.

I have helped my classmates and have had one official student as of this summer. However, I have learned how to explain concepts so that students dont just memorize, they will gain a thought process and applicable knowledge that will enable them to solve even the most complex problems. Having this mentality of preparation and success will being them to reach their goals.
