As a University of Connecticut graduate, I was very driven by my passion for the sciences. I earned a BS in pathobiology with a minor in molecular and cell biology. I was a well rounded student which has afforded me skills in math, psychology, and English. I have worked as a rowing coach for many years and have the patience and drive to help you reach academic goals. Teaching comes second nature to me. As a professor at Baku State University, I offered courses in foreign languages, linguistics, research methodologies, and pedagogical methods in language teaching. I developed and designed the Urdu curriculum at Baku State University myself, and the undergraduates and graduate students I trained went on to become diplomats, translators, medical interpreters, and language teachers. I also provided intensive private tutoring to government officials and academics who needed to learn the Russian and Azeri languages: my clients included the Indian ambassador to Azerbaijan.
