I love to teach and see the ideas light up the eyes of the person who suddenly got a concept. I think teaching should be adaptable and should fit the learning style of the student. Visual tasks, memory games, and hands-on-learning are, in my opinion, the best way to help someone truly learn (versus rote memory). In 2006 I was at my final step of reaching my BA in Secondary Education with an emphasis in English with only having left to complete my student teaching, but was taken by another opportunity. I moved to Japan and teach ESL and ESOL for almost 3 complete years. I taught from all ages two to adults, and learned many new skills, instruction and classroom management techniques, a new language and different ways to engage students in lessons.
