A Little Bit About Me...

I earned a bachelor of science degree in Mathematics and have gain full understanding of the subject. As a science student during my high school level has also given me an in depth knowledge in the sciences as well. I have taught students in mathematics for the past four years and believe that I have gain the requisite experience in teaching.
I am a person who love teaching children and being patient with them. I show my students how to effectively do a task and then help them to master the task so that they can independently complete similar task by adapting the same methods. A Little Bit About Me...

My basic teaching style utilizes a multimedia approach since different students learn in different ways (audio, visual, or hands-on). I like using simple “demo” experiments to show the “magic” of chemistry. Demos are then backed up by showing the chemical equations to explain what is actually going on. I also tend to use a lot of analogies, that students can related to. I access web information to help explain chemical concepts in creative ways. I also try to get students to think of problems as puzzles. I believe learning can be a fun experience as long as we never forget to ask the fundamental questions - "Why and How?"

As an undergraduate, I was fortunate to be part of a Chemical Engineering mentor program where I tutored underclassmen in the fundamentals of engineering. During my graduate stay, I was TA for undergrads and lead recitation sessions to help students prepare for subject matter. I love to teach students that want to learn. I have a lot of experience building confidence along with building basic skills.
