Math is often very hard for people to understand because they can't apply it to real world situations. I take the problems and teach the student how to see the problem in the easiest way for them. I like to take the "mystery" out of the subject. Math can be especially scary to students who don't have a strong foundation in general mathematics and reading comprehension.
