I have participated in Biomedical research both at Allegheny College (neurodegeneration in Drosophila melanogaster) as well as at the University of Pittsburgh (aggregation kinetics of the huntingtin protein). Furthermore, I volunteered at Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Crawford County as a Big Brother. Through the mentoring program as well as the Allegheny College football team, I gained experience tutoring other players as well as helped my "little brothers" with their homework whenever necessary.
