Changing The World, One Child AT A Time

I was an assistant teacher to a 3rd grade class at Wilson's Mills Elementary from 2001 until 2003. My duties included assisted the teacher and helping the students in a manner to help them learn at their pace. And I also have an 8 year old son who attends River Dell Elementary. I help him on a daily basis with his homework, which includes math, reading and writing. I love kids and it brings great joy to my life to see the smile on their faces when they learn something new, or figure out the answer to a problem they are working on.

A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy teaching and working with children and adults. My first experience in education was with children's music classes, and have since enjoyed the opportunity to teach adults at the community college level. I would describe my style as adaptive. In my experience every child and adult requires somewhat of a different approach. After careful evaluation, a course is developed to meet the students needs. A Little Bit About Me...

I am an n interpersonal teacher. I work with students on a one on one basis. When explaining a concept I am very referential. I also use parallels to help students understand the concepts. I feel that participation and self assertion can be a strong learning tool for students.
I have just recently finished a Masters program in music education at Central Michigan University. I have been teaching, tutoring, and mentoring students for 5 years.
