A Little Bit About Me...

I have been very fortunate to have worked with many different age groups and in many different settings, since I first began working in the education field in 2000. I am a certified Special Education teacher with a BS in Special Education with a major concentration in Reading. I have worked with students from Kindergarten through 8th grade. I have been a remediation tutor, guided reading instructor, teacher assistant, and now I teach Special Education at a local Middle School.
I have a very unique teaching style that enables my students to have fun while learning. I can easily see the individual needs of all of the students I teach. My first tutoring experience was in my freshman year of college. I tutored basic college algebra and calculus. Having earned two bachelor degrees in both math and physics. I feel I have a good understanding of not only the theory but also the applications of math to science. Tutoring both privately and publicly has also increased my speaking and presentation abilities. I have also tutored test taking strategies for the SAT, ACT, and GRE. In my years tutoring I have tutored middle school through graduate level courses. I also have taught adult students at the community college level.
