Drawing is one of my top subjects! I have taught drawing at a foundations level and am a big believer that practice makes perfect. The classes that I taught were structured on a six week increment; line, mass, gradient and general basics. I can teach pencil, charcoal, pastels and ink.

I have over two decades of experience in painting and drawing but in the last three years found an equal love in teaching. The method of teaching I prefer is maieutic, i.e., one which draws knowledge from the student, rather than attempts to place it in him/her from without. To me, the process of asking questions and allowing the student's curiosity and intelligence to reach conclusions is far more effective than one-sided lecturing.
