Some students respond well to visual cues; such as drawings in the case of teaching English as a Second Language. Coming from a poor background I was very much determined to change my family economic situation. When I was teaching beginner-level German to an adult opera singer, I focused on helping her develop her conversational skills and pronunciation, using English to explain difficult concepts.
