I was an Aide in the resource center at Pollard Middle School in Massachusetts and interned as a floating substitute at Elias Howe School in Bridgeport. I student taught fourth grade at Stratford Academy. I was also an Aide for grades 5 and 6 and Christian Heritage School in Trumbull and taught grade six at CHS last year. I knew I wanted to teach five minutes into my first teaching job. In 2010, I graduated SUNY Old Westbury College earning certification in Special Education (1-6) and Childhood Education (1-6). As one of the older matriculating students in the class and a mother of two girls, I have seen how different methods of teaching worked with different children.
