A Little Bit About Me...

I graduated from the UConn with a B.S. in physics and a minor in mathematics. Because I have used calculus and linear algebra on a daily basis as a means of solving problems I have developed a fundamental understanding of mathematics; an understanding that only someone who has used thse mathematical tools extensively can achieve. I have been tutoring for the past four years. I began tutoring at UConn my junior year and was quickly the most popular physics and calculus tutor on my shift. On several occasions I taught groups of ten or so as a class. It was then that I realized how much I liked teaching. Since I have graduated I have tutored at Sylvan Learning Center and Total Academic Center tutoring various subjects and age groups.

I truly enjoy teaching. I am very easy going and I can make subjects easy to learn. Since I have an engineering background, I have the tendency to break complex problems into smaller parts. This makes it easier for the student to follow through. All my students in the past have enjoyed learning from me and I am certain that this will not change. I truly believe that anybody can learn math and science; it is a matter of time and perception.
