My goal in teaching is to provide the student with the tools to discover and learn new concepts and to apply this knowledge to the learning process. I do not beleive in giving answers, but rather helping the student learn how to find the answers. I am very patient and will go over a concept until it is understood by the student. For me, teaching is a calling, a passion, something you have to love. After a successful career in private industry I was unhappy and missing something. After some soul-searching I realized my dream and became a teacher. I feel that the teacher should help facilitate the learning experience for the student. Over the last 4-6 years I've had to teach coworkers the intricacies of engine technology (basic hydrocarbon breakdown and nitrogen depleting systems) to basic geometry and electrical circuits ( from creating concentric bends in pipe to large scale automated systems). I have not taught english to an 11th grader in a public school, but I make it a fact to learn everyday and spread the knowledge to whomever i come into contact with and is willing to learn. I have recently been studying and implementing hydrogen generating systems and the effects of injecting it into internal combustion engines.

A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught Special Education for the last 12 years from grades k-12. I have four years experience in High School, seven years in elementary and one year as a special education director. I have also tutored students in high school (one year), taught private kindergarter (one year) and I was director of a Day care for 2 years. I earned my Bachelors degree when my children were small (all under the age of 7) and I continued on with classes starting in 2001 until I received my Masters Degree in Special Education.
