My comments on tutoring Elementary Study Skills : I teach the student to actually incorporate the learning skills that I teach into his or her daily study routine.

I've got around 8 years of college and university work under my belt, and I am getting ready to finish a BA in Elementary Education from Western Governors University. I love teaching. I got the teaching bug while teaching English as a Foreign Language in China. I taught there for almost 9 years altogether, 1 year in Beijing, 7 years in Tianjin, and 1 year in Taiwan. I now work as a substitute teacher for Lewis County Schools and I also volunteer in the school library where I help struggling students with reading.
I am very active in the classroom and I believe in making learning fun and enjoyable. There are so many ways to help children learn, yet many of them are not used for one reason or another. I can make learning fun, No Doubt!

I am a junior at EKU working toward my Bachelor of Science. Education major with concentrations in Math and English. I am a recently retired special education teacher with 27 years classroom experience. I am currently a substitute teacher in the public schools. I have vast experience working with special needs students as well as struggling regular education students. I have direct hands-on experience working with students with learning disabilities, autism, ADD/ADHD, and sensory integration.
