While enrolled in Anatomy and Physiology, my professor asked if I would be interested in becoming a tutor in the class. At that moment, I felt both a strong desire to help others and the fear of letting others down. I accepted the tutoring position because my passion for learning and helping others won out. I have had several opportunities over the last few years to help my co-workers with their adult education and not only am I able to help, they always return to me when they need more help.
I try to use as many resources as are available. What I mean is, in the Anatomy and Physiology labs there were models available to look at. I’ve used molecular models in Organic Chemistry for chemical structure. Sometimes asking a question can start the process of learning. A lot of it depends on the subject matter and the student involved. I try to remain open in my efforts to help others.

I hold a BS in Nuclear Engineering from Georgia Tech. I have two and a half years of experience, most of which is at the collegiate level. I am proficient at Introductory Calculus, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics. I have a real understanding of these subjects; I have studied and applied them in senior level collegiate courses. While I prepare, I would not list them if I could not show up cold and teach them. In college I volunteered my time tutoring freshmen students in these subjects. I also oversaw the academic goals of two of the clubs that I was involved with. A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching has been a passion for me since I was in middle school. I was blessed with good teachers who could very well explain me the basic concepts of science. It was here that I realized how important it was to have a good tutor, those who could captivate your interest. There have been times when I helped friends and class mates with Physics, chemistry, geography and biology during middle and high schools. I believe learning is accomplished when students are able to visualize what they are taught and when they start questioning all the whys and whats.
