I have taught fourth grade for four years. In my second year there, I currently am in charge of the fifth grade team of 13 teachers for Tennessee Virtual Academy, a public online school. I have experience in all subject areas and am a certified teacher. I feel comfortable tutoring in all core subject areas for K-8 students.

During my four years at East TN State University (ETSU), I tutored college students in General and Organic Chemistry, and multiple Psychology courses. I also taught for Kaplan Test Prep in small classes and prepared high school students for the SAT and ACT. I graduated in 2004 with a BS in Psychology. I then went to South College to get my teaching certificate. I student taught for 16 weeks under two wonderful mentoring teachers, and started subbing in January 2005. With my numerous experiences in education, I think I could be a great asset in helping students become more knowledgeable. I have worked as a Tutor, Assistant Teacher, and did a short placement as an Interim Teacher. I can easily adjust to changing environments that will best suit the student’s potential.
