My main focus on teaching is on understanding the subject and problem solving. I teach them the tools and methods and help them solve the problem independently. In case of very weak students I try my best to go down to their level and teach them. Academic excellence is my top priority. At the end of the day, a students success is what matters to me. I was a lectuter in an Indian University, teaching undergraduate courses for Electronics and Communications major. Was a teaching assistant during my Masters in India. My teaching style is one of discipline and at the same time hands-on. Students must feel the relevance of the world around them in order to gain an understanding of what's being taught. I work with the individual but never let the focus off of the competition that's waiting. Students must understand that learning is an every day, every moment experience. I have tried to apply a balance of patience and diligence to my teaching. I am always hoping for maximum results but, realize that learning is up to the individual and each person has a different learning experience. After obtaining a list of objectives, I like to offer a pop quiz to set a baseline. Thereafter, topics are divided in number of days available for preparation. Most important topics and topics not well understood get time and individualized priority. Offer a challenge test at the end. Harder than the test students will face but no so hard as to lower self steem.
