I make sure the pupils really understand the material by breaking things down to the basics, and reviewing the foundations. A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that a student who lacks the basic fundamental skills in reading and mathematics will struggle to stay focused in class and continually be disruptive and ultimately stop attending school. My teaching style is consistently accommodating especially to these types of students. Whether teaching my son to read, guiding elementary school students through a discussion of the water cycle, or assisting a classmate with a term paper, I always try to employ the Socratic method. I believe that one teaches by asking questions rather than by providing answers. Things learned by rote are easily forgotten.
