I love teaching and working with students of all ages. I have tutored students from various background and abilities. I believe in students being active participants in their learning process through the use of hands-on activities and discovery lessons. My desire is to change student perception of math and create a welcoming learning environment for all of my students.
I have always wanted to be a teacher and share my love and understanding of mathematics with everyone. In May of 2000, I was inducted into the National Mathematics Honor Society. I have taught high school math for eight years. The courses I taught ranged from basic Algebra 1 all the way to AP Calculus. A Little Bit About Me...

I have a passion and according to my students a gift for helping them make sense out of something they didn’t understand before. I believe that everyone has the ability to learn mathematics, but everyone doesn’t learn it the same way. I am a patient, intuitive person. I pick up on stressors and anxiety and I try to have students talk and work through those issues while learning. I have found that if a student can relax, they can learn.
