It wasn't long before math was my favorite class and I changed my major. When I was in school I helped a lot of my classmates with calculus. My favorite part about teaching is the moment of sudden understanding that you can see in a student's eyes when they've got it. The challenge, of course, is getting to that moment, especially in a subject like math or science.
