I began my college journey as an English major. I decided to switch to Elementary Education to be able to reach future writers before they lost the love for it. I have worked with all ages from toddlers to seniors in high school. I have been published in world wide devotional for women along with a world wide magazine. As an active member of my community, in the form of pageantry, volunteering, and leadership, I have always enjoyed instructing others. A Little Bit About Me...

The majority of my tutoring experience took place at Northern Illinois University from 2007 to 2008. There I worked in the NIU Writers’ Workshop, tutoring freshman students with assignments from their English classes. I worked with the same students each week (usually one or two at a time for 50 minutes) on both personal narratives and research papers. Since this time, I completed a semester of student teaching in high school English, and graduated from NIU with my BA in English.
