I also have a personal record of passing the NCLEX in 35 minutes (Although there are no speed points!). Your success on this test determines your ability to begin your career. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching experience comes mostly as a teaching assistant during college. Most of this work was in the laboratory portion of general biology classes, with occasional hours of lecture. My duties included preparing materials and answering student questions. Later I was in charge of a laboratory section, which meant that I prepared test materials and was the sole instructor in the class. Then, I was a laboratory instructor in anatomy at a veterinary college, assisting with the instruction of veterinary students. While in practice, part of my daily activities included explaining the proper treatment and care of pets, needed tests and procedures, test results, etc. to clients with varying levels of knowledge about such things.

As an active member of my community, in the form of pageantry, volunteering, and leadership, I have always enjoyed instructing others. I get to train Engineers and Office Managers on subjects I knew little about, and have grown in responsibility and development. My teaching style is positive. I also find ways to remember material by relating it to something familiar. I also advise students that studying the material each day as they learn will produce far better results than cramming before a test.
I obtained my associate’s degree at Prairie State College in 1997. I received the honor of Valedictorian by my high educational standards of earning a 4.0 GPA. My main focus was to learn as much as possible in the sciences, such as biology, anatomy, chemistry, and microbiology. Having a Biochemistry degree, I am well trained in science classes. I was also required and excelled in math classes up to Calculus 3. Therefore, math and science are my strong points.
