I am a very patient person who understands that the best way to teach someone anything is to find out how they learn. My goal is to help others be confident about what they do know and to not be afraid to ask questions about what they don't know. If I can't teach someone anything, I will find someone who can. I will attempt to tutor from any angle necessary so that my student has the opportunity to be successul at their struggling subject matter. There is little that is more gratifying than seeing a lesson you have been trying to teach someone hit home, especially when it has taken a lot of hard work on both the part of the tutor and the student to get to that point. I am a very hard worker and I am determined to succeed in every task I undertake. I believe that students who are willing to work hard enough are capable of excelling in just about anything. My love of learning and love of working with students has motivated me to continue my education. I have earned a BA in Mus Ed (k-12) and a MA in Counseling, both school counseling and community agency counseling. I also am a private piano instructor as well as the Minister of Music at my church. I have learned problem solving and communication skills because of my many years of working with students of all levels as well as their parents.
