My comments on tutoring Drawing : Drawing skills developed through the skill of seeing. Drawing exercises emphasize careful drawing from images and still life and utilize a range of drawing materials and techniques. Outside assignments required. Students will become familiar with the following: use of pencil, marker, charcoal, India Ink pen and brush work; intuitive, one and two-point perspectives, pure contour and modified contour drawing, gesture drawing, foreshortening, value, texture, composition, and negative space drawing. Although textbooks are not required, a list of suggested reading will be made available. Hand-outs and demonstrations will be presented.
Advertising Agency Art Director. Twenty years experience in design, production, coordination, and management of design projects from concept to completion, public events coordination,and marketing.
Instructor. Experience in teaching drawing, 2-D design, and Photoshop classes at the University level, as well as, teaching classes for Community Education, museums, and high school.
Special Events Coordination. Experience in creating visuals and marketing materials for museum exhibitions, in addition to the coordination of receptions, parties, and fund raisers.
