I earned a bachelor degree in Mathematics and have worked in Information Technology for over 25 years. I have always been close to learning. Outside of my (Bachelors of Science, PMP, MBA, EMDT) I have attained, I have attended numerous courses under the umbrella of continuing education such as Using Voice as a Sales tool, Leadership and Communication and How to be an effective tutor. In my 12+ years as a software professional, I mentored a team of developers and educated them on business knowledge about the client, technology and enabled them to become self-sustaining programmers over a period of time. I was let go from a local company earlier this year. I have decided to make a career change and my goal is to teach math at the high school level. I have a year of college to be certified. I'm a full student at CCC, and will take the Pedagogy requirements at Elmira College. I intend to tutor and substitute teach this winter and spring during college.
