A Little Bit About Me...

I would say my teaching style is more relaxed. I believe this helps one see students weaknesses and strengths better. It also allows one to compare the overall effect of teaching for each student. When I see a student falling behind then thats when I take action and try top get them where they should be in that area.
My experience is one that has taken me many different places to meet many diffrent people. I have always had a gift of helping others and conveying to them my knowledge. I obtained my BA in English Communication from Talladega College and also i have a minor in History. I have had a great deal of expereince in writng papers, essays, articles ,and reports. During my time in college, I also tutored Spanish speaking students in the usuage of the English language.

During my years at Alabama State University, I helped numerous of my colleagues with all levels of Math. Even though I earned my degree in Accounting, I have always been excellent in all Math classes. I have been tutoring Math since I was in high school and have helped a lot of people understand different Math processes easier.
I enjoy tutoring or showing someone how to solve a Math problem but, I know some will understand quickly than others. I have great patience working with children and helping them understand the true concepts to solving a problem. My unique teaching style is to get the children to think about Math in there everyday life and compare it to something they are familiar with. I start by asking the students to tell me exactly what is it that they not understand and start from there. I then like to work backwards from that point to find where they got lost. I also use everyday concepts to give similiar scenarios to get them on the right track. I find pleasure in seeing their faces light up once they come to understand the subject matter.
