A Little Bit About Me...

I have been working as a Substitute teacher for the last six years in Georgia as well as in the State of Washington. As my resume will indicate, I have experience at tutoring in the four major core subjects (Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies). I recently moved back home to the Wilson area after more than 30 years. I attended Elvie Street Elementary, 1963-67, Coon Junior High 1968, Darden High School 1970-71, Fike High School 1972-73 and graduated from Elm City High School in 1973. A Little Bit About Me...

I love teaching and enjoy working with children and adults. The only thing I ask is that the student be willing to learn. I love any learning environment. I love to make the most of any learning opportunity. Learning is not limited to the classroom. I learn new things every day. My favorite professor is 76 years old; I want to be just like her. I embrace Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligence. The most exciting experience for me is to teach a student and watch that student lean over and help another student.
