I have been working in the Accounting field for 9 years and plan to sit for the CPA exam in the future. Over the years, I have been involved in a number of different teaching and volunteer programs including Junior Achievement and 4-H. I enjoy learning new things and sharing what I've learned with others. My background includes a variety of different jobs including retail management, the military and banking.

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is different for each student. I have never considered myself a student that things come easy to. I always had to find a way to relate to the material, and when I tutor that is exactly what I try to achieve with each student. Sometimes all it takes is it being explained one more time a different way.
As a graduate of the top chiropractic school in the world, I have achieved a high level of education. I have a bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. Through out the years I have taught 5-8th graders in various subjects, as well as helped teach for a national board review company to chiropractic students all over the country in a variety of topics. I was also the editor-in-chief for the Palmer Triune, helping me obtain an excellent understanding and appreciation for the English language.

My desire to teach and tutor students in mathematics comes from my love of the subject. I have always enjoyed math and truly enjoy passing on my knowledge of math. I understand that many people do not share my passion for numbers but I work with my students to help them achieve a greater understanding and appreciation for mathematics. When I begin with a new student I like to spend a few minutes discussing the goals he or she has for our sessions. I prefer to work with the student one on one, where we can go step by step through the subject, taking extra time where needed and not dwelling on the areas already understood. I was homeschooled for the majority of my education which enabled me to assit my younger brothers and sisters in their studies. I taught a few Science classes including botony and a study of birds and have tutored in highschool math as well. I played volleyball, took 3 years of piano, and was a member of Chior as well. I worked as a teachers aide in a preschool for 2 years. I worked with children from the age of 6 weeks to 5 years. I plan on going to college for either business or diognostic sonography.
I love working with kids of all ages. All children are unique and they all learn in different ways. I believe its the teachers responsibllity to understand how their students learn best and then help communicate the curriculum to them in a way that they will best uderstand and retain that knowledge.
