I have had 22 years total of tutoring experience, worked for six different supplemental educational services tutoring providers, worked for three different online tutoring companies, and have eleven years of experience as an ESL Teacher. I have been working with children from K-12 grade since 2001. I was part of the Math Academy in 2002. I have been subsituting in grades K-8 since 2009. While we need to maintain a standards-based focus to help students succeed on standardized tests, there is much that can be done to help bring learning to life in a practical, hands-on way.
