I enjoy helping others learn and succeed in the classroom. I typically tutor students step by step during the problem solving process. I teach students effectively by providing analogies to problems or concepts that they are having a difficult time grasping.
I graduated summa cum laude with a BSBA finance degree from the University of Central Missouri. I am currently an MBA student studying finance as my concentration discipline. As a part of my degree programs I have taken nine undergraduate credit hours in accounting and three graduate hours in accounting. During my Junior year of high school I began to works as an Associate/Substitute preschool teacher for the Park Hill School District in Parkville, MO. I continued my work through their program during my breaks from being a student in college. On breaks, I was able to work approximately 40hrs/weeks. In spring 2008 I completed an internship in a 7th grade classroom for 4 months. In fall 2008 I completed an internship in an 8th grade classroom for 4 months. Also, in spring 2009 I am currently completing my semester of student teaching in an 8th grade classroom at Warrensburg Middle School in Warrensburg, MO.

I worked as a full-time instructor of physics, astronomy, and engineering/electronics last summer for Upward Bound, a program that provided additional classwork and guidance to selected high-schoolers who came from low-income families that never before sent a kid to college. I also have one and a half years of experience tutoring introductory physics to early college-level students. I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring high school and college students, but I am also willing to work with younger students. In a classroom situation a certain amount of lecture is also needed to stimulate the conversation and present the subject materials.
