I give each student an initial assessment. We will discuss your results and plan a tutoring package to meet your specific needs. I travel and offer tutoring in the comfort of your own home. I can also provide online tutoring. You may select private sessions (recommended) or group sessions.
I have been teaching in a formal school setting for over 11 years. I have been a private tutor for 18 years. I have successfully taught and tutored several hundreds of students. I have tutoring experience for all of the Praxis Exams. I also have tutoring experience for the GRE. On an undergraduate level, I have successfully prepared students for the ACT and SAT.

There are no dumb questions, only ignorant teachers!

I believe in teaching all subjects using innovative methods that are tailored to the specific student. I have taught C++ programming through the use of robots, chemistry with cosmetics, and physics with music. I begin by listening to the student and understanding exactly what level they are at. I then develop a plan of action to get them to the level they need to be at for the grades they want. I don't believe that there is any such thing as a dumb question, only ignorant teachers. As such, my sucess is not based off of how well I explained the subject, but on how well the student understood. I will spend how many hours it takes to equip a student with the knowledge they need to take control of their own success.

Some students benefit from closely studying the textbook in a course, whereas others became easily overwhelmed reading large amounts of text and instead required a more interactive learning atmosphere based on discourse. I learned to identify a student's learning style and adapt my strategies to match that style. In general, I realized it was important to emphasize the main ideas of course material.
