Due to my undergraduate experiences at NCAT, I was able to develop new skills while enhancing the ones that I already possessed. While at A&T, I earned a degree in African American studies, in which I learned extensive grammatical skills due to writing graduate level research papers. Basic education requirements enabled me to gain and understanding in many different subjects such as math and science. During my undergraduate career, I have tutored students in English and mathematics.

Hands on, real world examples are the most effective when learning mathematics. It is very important to understand the theory behind what is calculated, in order to understand what is being done. Working lot of examples, from different points of view, and finding easy ways to sanity check your answers is also important.
My ultimate professional goal is to become a statistics teacher at the university level. I am currently working on my MS in Applied Statistics with a SAS certification at Texas A&M, and plan to continue onto a phD. In addition, I graduated suma cum-laude from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2008 with a BS in Mathematics with a statistics concentration, and minors in Optical Engineering and Economics.
