I'm a graduated student from Purdue University with a BS in Speech Pathology and Audiology (SLHS). Between my time in both high school and college, my GPA never dropped below a 3.0. Both settings of education included years of math and science, and in high school four years of writing, English, and history. A Little Bit About Me...

I notice that many high school instructors do not teach the basics of science. I believe it is important to cover the basics of the periodic table and elements for one to enjoy Chemistry. I try to make learning fun. I make note cards and sheets for my students. I am very compassionate and easy to talk to.
Throughout my college career, I have worked in many different fields. The field that has given me the most satisfaction is tutoring. I always use concrete examples that students can relate to when explaining a concept. I worked as a synthetic organic chemist at Eli Lilly pharmaceutical company for five years. I spent the next 20+ years as a stay-at-home mom and homeschooler, teaching my three children from kindergarten until they graduated from high school.(My two oldest are now college graduates and the third is presently in college.) I have learned that the best way to teach is to let the student know how much you enjoy the subject and then work to make them feel the same way. I also know that you cannot predict what methods will be best for all people. I prepare extensivesly with sample tests, worksheets, as well as fun learning activities.
