A Little Bit About Me...

I have always been a lifelong learner, and I see tutoring as an extension of my desire to consistently review and engage with all academic material. The liberal arts education that I received at Scripps College set the standard to appreciate and learn a variety of subjects. I received two bachelor degrees, BA in Art History and BA in French, but also spent considerable time taking math and science courses. Hello, I graduated with a PhD. in analytical chemistry from the Department of Chemistry, University of Massachusetts in Amherst. My research work during my PhD career involved synthesis, purification, analysis and utilization of proteins and PEGylated proteins in bioanalytical experiments. These experimental studies resulted in several publications in scientific journals. In addition, I have considerable experience in training undergraduate chemistry students. Recently, I had the opportunity to tutor at Westfield State College as a visiting lecturer, where I thought a second year organic chemistry class together with a laboratory session associated with the class.
